Goodbye Meifeng

The program in the morning was introduction to Saideke tribe and hunting traps. After watching the trailer of "Seediq Bale " by John Woo, I was captivated by its short debut and it made me wanna watch the show. It brought my images back to how ancient tribes sacrificed themselves to protect their homeland against intruders. And I asked myself if I would do the same to keep my loved ones safe. It will be an absolute 'Yes' definitely. After serving 2 years of National Service in the military, it taught me the importance of safeguarding the nation because the lives of our loved ones are at stake. We have to do our best to deter the aggressors and made them realize that we are no push overs.

After the triailer, we were introduced to different clothing that the tribes wear in the past. This is me wearing a garment that only those tribal people who had done head-hunting could wear it. I was startled when I heard of that because I will never do that!

After lunch, we get to make our own 'man-to dim sum'. Below are the pictures of the processes. The baked bun turned out okay in the end, which wasn't what I had expected it to taste like.

Next, we went to Chuenyang Sub-farm (春阳分场) to harvest tomatoes, and they tasted sweet! I haven't had such delicious tomatoes for a long time. A pity that we only get to have 2 small tomatoes each from the farm. Hulda was jokingly saying that "We traveled for 1 hour just to pluck 2 small tomatoes" and we were all  amused by her remark.

The day ended with us playing with the Rubin Lock (鲁班锁) . This was my first time hearing this lock and there are over 600 combinations of locking up the blocks. We were supposed to sandpaper them and apply lubricant for easily assemble and removal. We also had a small competition to assemble them in the shortest time possible. During practice, my fastest record was 15 seconds. But during the competition, I panicked and lost the game. But anyway, it was a fun competition, and congrats to Vico and Andria!
