Firstly, we had to fold the white cloth into our desired shape and fasten the parts where we wanted our patterns to be in with ice cream sticks. Next we went to the dye tanks to soak the cloth for 3 minutes in each tank. Between the intervals, the cloth needed to be aired and oxidized, allowing the dye to seep into it and darkened.
After airing for the second time after soaking, the cloth could then be opened and a magical shape will be formed from the simple handicrafts. This one was made by me and I guess it wasn't badly done.
Here are the rest of the patterns made by fellow friends. The overall outlook was great and it was a nice experience.
We had a visit to Dharma Drum Mountain and Juming Museum after this and along the tours, we exchanged conversations about laws and beliefs between different countries. LOL, it was a sudden conversation but we got to learn about other cultures and it was very interesting to know how different countries work differently.
The night ends with me packing up for the next phase of BACT. Looking forward to it!
